Assembly line automation

Sequential assembly and elimination of unnecessary actions are one of the basic things of Lean methods. On the Lean assembly line, tasks are performed in sequence at each station. When work is completed at one station, the parts move on to the next station via conveyor. Repetitive tasks that would be difficult for humans are automated, improving both accuracy and the speed at which tasks are performed.

  • Even flow of production - standardization of tasks reduces the time spent in the assembly process, and tasks can be partially automated or performed manually if necessary;
